5 years of the European Foundation for Education and Culture
The European Foundation for Education and Culture, based in Zielona Gorá, was founded in Warsaw by Anneliese Ruppelt-Dittrich on 4 August 2008.
Leading personalities from Poland and Germany were recruited as members of the Board of Trustees and officially appointed at the first constituent meeting. Amongst others, the goals of the foundation were and remain the promotion of education, training and further training of children, young people and adults, as well as the promotion and support of European integration and co-operation as well as the development of relationships, in particular the promotion and support of educational, art and cultural activities between the Polish and German community in the border area of Brandenburg and Wojewodschaft Lubuskie.
In this, the collaboration between the Gymnasium and Freie Oberschule at Campus Neuzelle and the European Gymnasium and Lyzeum in Zielona Góra is of particular significance, with this promoted in the scope of the German-Polish Educational Bridge.
